“Wrote This Song To Say Goodbye Girl” tells the story of a breakup message written in the form of a recorded song. He knew this girl since they were high school sweethearts, moved in together, and had lots of good times together over the years.
However, he discovers via text messages on his girlfriend’s phone that she has been fooling around behind his back and has betrayed their relationship, trust and hi-jacked their love. After careful thought and some serious drinking, he decides to pack-up his truck and leave her the next day. He writes and records a break-up song to let her know how he feels about her betrayal in this relationship.
