Loose Records is thrilled to welcome back Jawoo for his second appearance on the label, this time delivering the vibrant and immersive «Cocoon» EP.
Jawoo, known off-stage as Marinko Vujević, is a Bosnian DJ and producer whose roots run deep in the underground techno scene. Having previously impressed with releases on Black Hole, Pacha Recordings, and his own label, Stanch Records, Jawoo’s productions have been championed by global heavyweights like Paul Oakenfold, Markus Schulz, and Cristian Varela. His style effortlessly marries minimalistic rhythms with deep, melodic undertones, crafting immersive dancefloor journeys.
«Cocoon» is a dynamic contribution to Loose Records’ Limited series, further solidifying the label’s reputation as a platform for cutting-edge minimal sounds.
Cocoon opens with hypnotic grooves and airy textures, seamlessly flowing into the punchy, peak-time energy of In The Club, highlighted by mesmerizing vocal snippets and crisp percussion. The EP closes with the darker, deeper title track, The Negotiator, showcasing pulsating basslines and subtle melodic details that perfectly embody Jawoo’s sophisticated approach to minimal deep tech.
