Pink Monk is an international collaboration of three artists: composer Ace Eshed from
Finland, producer Asim Rahimov from Azerbaijan, and lyricist Jazmine Marquez from
the United States. With over three decades in the music industry under his belt, Ace
Eshed has made a name for himself showcasing his flexibility and skill through his work
in creating compositions in multiple genres. Always innovative and always
inspired, Eshed chooses to explore and master many different genres as a way to
connect to the many different walks of life a person can take. Asim Rahimov is a Baku-
based sound engineer, producer, composer, and drummer with over 14 years’ worth of
production experience. Asim has collaborated with international names such as Jhelisa
Anderson (Bjork, Massive Attack) and Hansen Studios (Volbeat, Arch Enemy), bringing
both studio precision and live performance sensibility to his work. Last is
lyricist Jazmine Marquez. Although new to the world of music in terms of creation, she
has been writing her entire life exploring prose and poetry often through a lens of
fantasy, romance, and magical realism, making songwriting a natural fit.
Pink Monk now present their newest single, “Hurricanes”, an urban-pop song with
electronic elements. With a haunting melody that echoes the feeling of a 3 am spiral,
that then progresses into an explosion of emotions, the song offers a dual perspective
of a relationship that is as tender as it is chaotic, relaying a near-universal experience
for listeners to enjoy.
