Born 1986 October 13th, in the state of Maryland, I grew up always being interested in music , I come from a musical family, mostly everyone in my family has a musical talent , one of my uncles was Al Goodman from the R&B group called the moments at first then they changed their name to Ray Goodman and Brown , he past away afew years back, he shared a lot of good information with me concerning the music business information that I use till this day . He lived in Englewood new Jersey in a big house while I lived in Paterson New Jersey after leaving Maryland with my mother an older sister an younger brother at the age of 8.
Paterson New Jersey isn’t a place to get comfortable living in , it’s always something negative going on i remember like it was yesterday how on my first day of going to elementary school when it was the end of the day an I was walking out of the school door I got jumped by two of my male classmates, the word jumped means physically assaulted for those who don’t know , they didn’t even wait for me to leave the school property, lol guess that was their way of saying welcome to the school, lol it was a totally different mentality then the mentality that was in the areas I grew up in Maryland, but I learnt to adapt.
The second time in my life that happened to me getting jumped was when I was 15 years of age walking in day light on a hot sunny day leaving from a basketball court that was at a park in Paterson with a friend of mine , we was walking down governor Street and 5 guys was behind us walking fast an I thought they was just going to walk past us but next thing I knew I got hit in the head then picked up and thrown on the ground and kicked and punched on by all of them while my friend ran . They was trying to rob me but I didn’t have money on me at the time so that made them act out even more but by God’s grace two women pulled up in a car shouting «get off him» so they stopped hitting me and just walked away as if not carrying enough to even run away. These experiences is what helped to inspire me to right the song ( You Ain’t No Gangsta ).
Other situations I’ve experienced with crooked police has also helped inspire me to create the song. My goal as an artist is to always share my life experiences with the world and my thoughts and feelings about them while I uplift others and help others become better human beings.
