Backstrom is a Swedish songwriter who writes songs in the genres of Folk,
Country or Rock and records them with talented musicians. He had a long
break not playing any music, but he has made a comeback to music 2023, and
released his debut album «The Carousel» in January 2024. Looking ahead,
Backstrom is working on a more acoustic album called «Dark Clouds» which
will be released on November 13th, 2024.
Now, Backstrom presents the song ”From The Ashes,” a folk song with rock
and classical influences, featuring Bart Topher on the vocals. The song starts
minimalistically and builds up towards the end, carrying a message that life
starts, grows and thrives again even out of the very worst possible conditions
for it, and that something good will come out of the bad in the end. If you’re
a fan of Johnny Cash’s «American” -albums, this song might be right for you.
